Hello
I am using a Combo box of a ToolStrip : ToolStripComboBox. After an item is selected, the item has obviously the focus; the item is highlighted. How can I get rid of this behavior, in other words,.I don't want the item to be highlighted after if has been selected. Any ideas?

u can set the focus to the next control like this:
    Private Sub ComboBox1_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles ComboBox1.SelectedIndexChanged
        SelectNextControl(ComboBox1, True, True, False, False)
    End Sub

Hello
Thanks for your help. I want to clarify that I am using a ToolStripComboBox which is not a Control like a ComboBox. So when I have
 SelectNextControl(ToolStripComboBox1, True, True, False, False)
I have this error
Value of type 'System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripComboBox' cannot be converted to 'System.Windows.Forms.Control'
Once again, thanks for your time

u can get the combobox control from toolstripcombobox, try this:
Private Sub toolStripComboBox1_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles toolStripComboBox1.SelectedIndexChanged
        Dim cb As ComboBox = toolStripComboBox1.ComboBox
        GetNextControl(cb, True).Focus()
    End Sub

Handle the ToolStripComboBox value changed event and set the focus to the control you want.
