I have a website in IIS 6.0 on Windows 2003 Server I wish to disable but don't want to completely remove it. &nbsp;I have read that if you stop the application pool that it will not be restarted unless someone manually starts it, even if the server is rebooted. &nbsp;Is this true? &nbsp;If not how can I disable the website without completely removing it from IIS? &nbsp;<br />

Disable Application Pool IIS 6.0

IIS is Internet Information Services, the web server included with Windows Server operating systems. All current versions are built on a modular architecture; modules can be added or removed individually so that those required for specific functionality are installed. The full installation of IIS includes HTTP, security, content, compression, caching, logging and diagnostics.
