Cisco Aironet 1300 series cannot get to work with gien IP address from the console connetion

Dear Experts, I am having a hard time getting this wireless router to work nice with me. I can't get it to connect with the browser. What line am i missing or need to take off. I gave it's fastethernet 0 interface IP dress 172.16.8.50. That is the IP I want to use to get started with the device via browser...  1300series

Take the IP address off the FastEthernet interface.  This device is not a router - you need to put the IP address on the BVI1 interface, like this...

interface FastEthernet0
 no ip address
!
interface BVI1
 ip address 172.16.8.50 255.255.255.0
end
