Converting from Google Apps email to free email...

DaveWWW used Ask the Experts™
A new client of mine signed up a month ago for a free trial of Google Apps, where their domain name is hosted by Google, they get their email from Google (but using their own domain), etc, etc.

The trial has ended, and they cannot log in to their email, and it's not accessible through POP etc.

They don't want to use Google at all.  They're going to go with standard email hosting using an Outlook client.  All they want is their emails over the past month.  I can't seem to find a way to get them.  Gmail's pop server no longer responds since their account is suspended.

Any ideas?

The trial was a trial for a fixed period. Did you/your client not read the terms and conditions?
IF the trial is not converted to a full account then I believe you will find that your emails are not retrievable.

As per my experience (because i am using Gmail business edition) there is no other way except paying for it for an year or month and as soon as it does get activate again. Download all the emails to outlook using IMAP or POP3 and copy the .PST file of outlook and migrate it to other mailbox personal folder. If earlier they were using the TRIAL service as POP3 on OUTLOOK try to look for the old .PST files, my suggestion is to BUY the service (its WORTH) and download all the emails. Good luck

I bought another month...
