system time keeps changing

I have a windows 2003 that runs VMware server , within that VMware server , I run a domain controller VM.

The problem is that , system time on both machines changes to something else . multiple times a day.

Yes , both are using EST daylight time . Automatic adjustment is also checked on both .

They are running 24/7 .

They are behind firewall but they were working fine for a couple of years , it just started happening from 15 days ago. no changes to firewalls. ALso , we are getting this error in windows ( on DC ) :
~~~~~
Windows cannot find the machine account, The clocks on the client and server machines are skewed
Doesn't seem to be firewall related , it's like a DC issue.
I ended up using an external time server.
