No, nothing controls it, expressions starts with = , in ssrs 2005 it's little bit annoying, that's not in 2008 anymore.<br />

you could select the txt box or highlight inside it and it'll be enabled.

I am tryig to add a sum in the footer of this report and when I right-click on the field in the footer, I am not getting the expression option. What must I do to get that option to appear?<br />
