Wow!, that's probably going to be a hassle eventually.

Commented:
yeah - It's already a hassle.  But the security (protected mode) and the graphic enhancements, these technologies were not in XP when it shipped.  I think that eventually there will be a hack, but you will have to give up the above enhancements - and then it wouldn't really be IE9. :(

Yes
using IE 8 will be better than a hacked or downgraded IE 9 !!!
I loved IE a lot and hated Firefox but when I learned the great potential of Firefox I switched to Firefox !!!

Yep. Microsoft wants everyone to upgrade to Win7 and get away from XP
Which in my opinion is a good idea IF YOU WANT TOO that is.
For the regular user, it is a pain to do so.

If you want to run IE9 for testing web development, then you can install a virtual Windows 7 on your system and do it that way.

Good Luck

i liked Firefox, but lately it seems slow. my conspiracy theory is that Microsoft did something to make ie appear faster. But I bet that’s not true.
Anyhow, I like some things about chrome. I even liked opera.
It seems like ie keeps copying the cool features of all the other browsers.

IE is no match for Firefox !!!
Firefox with all of that powerful plugins and beautiful themes and features . . .
Never . . .
The simple thing that I needed in IE and found it in Firefox is "Pausing the download" !!!
IE couldn't Copy all of the cool things !!!
