I have a web crawler that navigates between pages drawn from a table.
The device is made to find pages that won't load completely or that have other errors.
I had a full head of hair before this stupid project but.....
When the device finds a page that sticks in the 'loading' state, I CANNOT get the page to stop (webbrowser.stop). It will stay in the loading phase (1) NO MATTER what I do.
I've put all of the code in the doucment completed event and have gone to the extreme of letting the sleep function run for variations of 1 to 15 minutes. If I use an IE instance, the page showed "completed with errors".
So NOW I am thinking that I have not suppressed errors (I have suppress errors enabled).
My question is HOW to stop the page from navigating so that I can go on a do something else? My thinking is that if IE can handle it, why can't the browser control?
