Is there any way of making an Intel i3-560 CPU fit into a system board that has the 1366 chipset?

Are there any adapters or similar items that can do this?

No. No such adapters exist. Only socket 1366 cpu's will work in a socket 1366 motherboard.

... and if you're going to replace the motherboard, I'd go with a Socket 1155 board and a Sandy Bridge CPU.
