Hi,

Is there any restriction to distribute libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll
along with my appication.
I use Delphi 2007 and I am sending emails using ICS components
over SSL/TLS. Therefore I need these dll.

I downloaded libeay32.dll from DLL files dot Com and in the "Details" properties of the file it has "copyright none".  So no copyright, I see no problem, but I'm not a lawyer.  It may have restrictions against charging a fee for including it in any product.  That's the usual caveat on freeware.

The other one, ssleay.dll shows a copyright by Zone labs, so you would definitely need their permission for any distribution.

ssleay32.dlll from DLL files dot Com

This probably shouldn't be too difficult to obtain since they must be allowing Dll files dot Com to distribute it.

Correct me if i am wrong, but this could easily be turned int a non issue - by supplying a link for the end user to click on and download from the vendor in question directly.  If their software/lib/dll is easily and, more importantly - publicly available - then having the user download and store it locally for installation to finish, might do the 'trick' ? ;)
Allan did you have any problems with sent emails? Many of mine ends up in spam/junk and the company's info states like it was without header. Did you use any special properties... my post is at http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Internet_Email/Email/Email_Clients/Q_28350554.html
