How to compile a web service to an assembly in VWD 2010 Express?
We are experimenting with developing web services in C# using VWD 2010 Express. So far everything is ok but now we are looking to deploy on our test web server.
The asmx file refers to "codebehind" however we believe that we should actually have an assembly rather the cs file?
I have done some research and i have the feeling that the Express version of VWD 2010 does not support compiling assemblies?
Is that correct? Shall we upgrade? Or are we missing something?

You are correct VWD 2010 express does not support that
You would need to upgrade in order to do so
does this explain why we can not find an assembly? because even though it works when testing we cant find the web services dll.
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

thanks but that was not really my question. Does the Express version produce an assembly that can be deployed?
