Exchange 2003 to 2010 Public folder migration

Hi guys,

I have sucessfully migrated mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 Sp1 with no problems. I am having problems moving the public folders (which are all calanders)

I have done the

.\AddReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 -server "Exchange2" -TopPublicFolder "\" -ServerToAdd "Exchange2"

Update-PublicFolderHierarchy -Server "Exchange2"

and on the 2003 box is ESM done the 'move all replicas'

but nothing happened, i have been trying for a week, the size of the public stores is less than 20mb. and on the 2010 box if i type


I get

Item Count 0, last access time 2am the previous day.

I have disabled all the anti spam software (sophos puremessage) but no luck... Please help if anyone can...

What authentication is enabled on the SMTP Virtual Server on the Exchange 2003 server?  You will need Basic and Integrated Windows Authentication as a minimum.

Both basic, and integrated windows authentication are turned on...

Anyone got any other ideas? My customer is having a 'meltdown' !

Have you moved all replicas from the 2003 server to the 2010 server?  Looks like you have added a replica, but not moved them.

Sorry about the lack of response - I returned from holiday to then have my business partner go off for two weeks and it has been a full week for me so far and I haven't really switched on my laptop at all today, let alone had time to breathe.

Due to the Riots in London, I have been kept extra busy with customers who have been concerned about losing their computers and making sure their backups are current / working / off-site and those that didn't have backups going off-site, have now got them off-site.  Also, we had a customer whose computer systems were looted, so I have had to get them back up and running again.  All in all, an interesting week.
