RD Gateway w/wildcard certificate - states cert does not match

Setting up a Win 2008 R2  SP1 RDS host, with RD gateway installed on the same server.  It is a single RDS host configuration, not a farm.

Upon installing the RD gateway and applying our wildcard certificate  (godaddy wild card cert.  *.ourcompany.com), when attempting to connect to the server via the RD Gateway using the RDP 6.1 client  and an address of  rds.ourcompany.com the connection is failing with:

"This computer can't connect to the remote computer because the Termainal Services Gateway server address requested and the certificate subject name do not match."

Viewing the certificate shows it is the correct wildcard cert (*.ourcompany.com) issued by Godaddy.

Any ideas on what i might have missed?

Are you publishing the RDS server through a firewall/ISA/TMG? If so you need to install the cert on that as that is most likely the actual device terminating the SSL.
