MS SCCM - How to provide input for install?

I have had sucess deploying MSI's that are easy installs how do I create a SCCM package where the install requires some user data?  Like a data base name, for one example.

Best way would be that you create an User Part like Active Setup within your Package

Maybe I am missing it, but there is a user shortcut created when installed.  The issue is that the install requires input, in this case a DB name.  How can I define that in a deployment?

The shortcut is propably a file in the all users profile which is for each user.
I cannot answer your question you have to find the MSI Parameter which defines the database name for yourself as i don't know the application
