asked on

adding columns beyond 256 in a worksheet converted from 2003 to 2007

Hello - I had a worksheet that was
 - created in Excel 2007 (had ~320 columns)
 - opened, edited & saved in Excel 2003 (lost columns, now only showing 256)
 - re-opened in 2007, saved in 2007 as an .xlsx file.

I need to add the additional columns into the 2007 file now (>256).  It's giving me errors.  How do I add more columns?

Thank you!

Thanks for the post, redrumkev.  That should have worked, and did on one PC.  On a second PC nothing worked despite doing the same keystrokes - I guess a default was set on that PC that was preventing it.
