How to imbed picture from web inside Word document

I want to have Microsoft Word 2010 load a picture from the web (http://example.com/myPic.jpg) each time the document is opened.

Document must be in 'word' format. NOT html.

Add the picture from the Insert menu, using the option Link to File

The screen dump shows the location for Word 2010

In the file name box, put
http://example.com/myPic.jpg

I tried this and it actually downloads the image and imbeds it in the document. At least that's what it does when I use word as part of a eMail Merge using Outlook.

Do you know of a way to force it to ALWAYS dowload it from the web when it is needed?

Thanks,
Martin

Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word is a commercial document editing program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. It features numerous text-editing tools for creating richly formatted documents, along with tools for the use of macros in Word documents. Word's native file formats are denoted either by a .doc or .docx file extension. Plugins permitting the Windows versions of Word to read and write formats it does not natively support, such as the OpenDocument format (ODF) are available. Word can import and display images in common bitmap formats such as JPG and GIF. It can also be used to create and display simple line-art.
