Use the F10 key or tap the recovery button key in HP to install windows 7.

Dont use the dvd

The recovery button key in HP should be F10 or F11 ...you need to tap it when u see the bios screen.

I know if the the CPU is 64-bit capable?
This was running Win XP now trying to get 7 on here
ve3ofa - I got that far but not sure what i need to download to continue. Which one is the device driver?
in device manager what device driver are you missing?
you might want to download all of the packages
I'd install windows 7 (it comes with a lot of drivers) and more available via windows update once this is done then just look for the drivers you need
Thats the thing its asking for the device drives before installing. Thats why i didnt know which one i needed it
so it needs the hard drive manager intel matrix storage manager.. are you using raid right now? can you go into the bios and set the drives to ide compatible mode?  Do you have the hard drives setup as a RAID system? Intel Matrix Drivers F6 install
Not using raid. 7 does not give me a F6 option
