SCCM Smart Card Reader Report

I need to make an SCCM report that will show the workstation name if if it has a usb smart scard reader attached. If it could search for the usb device description being like either one of these that would be great:

Smart Card%
%USB CCID%
%Usbccid%
USB Smart%
ActivCard%
SCR33x%

Any help is appreciated.

I think I may have something for you but need you try this first. On a machine with a smart card reader please try running the following from a command prompt.

wmic scsicontroller get name, description, deviceid

Do you see your smartcard reader listed in there?

That some what helped me, but I would like to know if anyone can correct the WQL statement and make it work?

That works, but it's showing every workstation even though half of them don't have smart card readers.

I would encourage you to review the criteria - you defined the search to look with any system with the result matching ANY of the criteria you listed.  If I run the report with your criteria, I also get all the comptuers in my site.  If I remove all the criteria except %Smart Card% I do not return any results in my site (I do not believe I have any Smart Cards used in my site).  Please review your criteria to tweak your results.  //lwb
