Turn on Terminal services

hi,

i have never worked on a server before. but i just built one.    2008 foundation edition....

i am told that i can turn on terminal services with out cals for a limited period.    
exactly how is that done...

my problem is that when i go into roles,   terminal services are not a choice.

there is a " remote desktop "    but no terminal service.

Remote Desktop Services is Terminal Services in Server 2008
It does have some new features but it does the same basic tasks.
