Track Pad too sensitive during typing

I have a sony Z series laptop, and after a clean install of win7 (as opposed to the packaged OEM vista), the mouse track pad is always "in the way" when typing, and therefore the wrist moves the cursor to another area in the page as well as "click" the cursor away from the active window, making typing almost impossible.

I cannot find the actual original driver for this. Any ideas?

Is there any generic driver which can disable the cursor/mousepad during typing?

Thanks guys

There should be an application that came with the laptop that allows you to adjust the trackpad sensitivity.

That's right. It was pre-installed without installer disks. It only came with a complete system restore, which had tonns of crap-ware, which cannot be opted out. Also, I have a clean-install of win7, not an upgrade, which might have been able to take previous drivers into consideration.
