I dont know why but I have Acrobat 5.0 installed on my laptop which is ok and it was in the add/remove programs on my Win 7 OS.  I right clicked to have a look and two options showed:

- Uninstall
- Change - I selected change just out of curiosity and it stated that Acrobat was not detected on my system.

I then opened a file on my pc in the same format which opened up so I have not got a clue what has happened there.

I also tried to select Acrobat as the default program but it wasn't even in the list to choose or even browse!!!
Ive been looking to download a version 6 or 7 but cannot find the right free copy to download!!
Ive only got Adobe Flash Player ActiveX installed and nothing else but thought this was for flash type formats...
Unfortunately, only the Acrobat Reader is free from Adobe.  The Acrobat Reader allows you read, but not change or create pdf documents.  For that you need to purchase the Adobe Writer/Distiller, or download one of the free 3rd party pdf creators.  However, I don't believe any of the free 3rd party pdf creators can utilize the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX.  You need to provide more details about what you are trying to accomplish.
I dont wish to change or create pdf docoments as per main thread as it is because when I try to download a copy of a pdf document so that I can read how to use GNS3 cisco configuration tool virtual, it states I have an issue or need to install:

Acrobat External Windows Handler
