How to confirm that one form is only pulling data from a table using the ID on a different form

I have a project that I would like to use the Navigation form for.  What I have is two different forms.  One form is for the Artist Personal Information.  The second form is for the Productions that the artist has been a part of.

The production form is pulling from one table that has the foreign key of name_id.  On the main artist information form I have a text box with name_id that I need to use.  What I would like to know is what would be the best way to have the Production form pull only the data for the name_id that is on the Personal Information form?

If you need more information about this then please just let me know.  I know how to get the value from the main artist form.  I just am not sure where on the production form I would be that value.

Thanks,

Gabicus

I should sugget that you set up the Productions form as a sub-form of the Artists form, whith the link fields being the name_id.

When you do that, on selecting an artist in the main form the sub-form will automatically display the related productions.

Thank LabertHeenan for your reply.

The reason I am not using that as a sub form on the main form is because there is a ton of data and sub forms already on the Artist main form.  There is just no room for another sub form with the amount of information that is needed.
