Also any idea why after doing a sync, the original file location has many more files than the backed up copy (via sync on a backup drive). &nbsp;There apepars to be hidden files that are created or something, but this confusingly makes me think that not all files have synced.

I have also used All Way Sync in the past as well as Sync Toy from Microsoft and found Sync Toy to be marginally better although they look almost the same. &nbsp;Allway sync seems to suffer from the locked file problem a lot.

I'll stick by my reccomendation of GoodSync. &nbsp;Besides all the other stuff I posted it also indicates files it couldn't sync so you can fix the problem or do them manually.

I've tried the latest version of sync toy and Allway sync, but I sometimes find that both programmes dont always copy files, something to do with no permission or cant overwrite target file when updating the sync.<br />

What is the best file sync program for Windows?
