Windows Deployment Services (WDS) Server Service won't start error 58

Windows Deployment Services (WDS) Server Service won't start and gives error 58. It is running on a W2003R2 Enterprise server and has been previously running well.

DHCP is running on 2 other servers and not on this one.
060, 066 and 067 options appear correct on both DHCP servers.

I have removed and re-added the server to the Windows Deployment Services console.

The only recent change was to replace one of our DCs (an old W2000 server) with a new W2008R2 server. The was DCpromo'd down and then the new one added and all went well.

We also raised the Functional level of the domain to 2003.

I'm not certain that these changes caused the WDS to play up but it seems co-incidental.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried to re-authorize the WDS server in DHCP?
