what kind of acer aspire? model? &nbsp;Is this a x64 or 32 bit OS?? &nbsp;Made sure the driver was a 64 or 32 bit driver that matched the OS? &nbsp;Have you tried an actual vga or dvi video card yet? <br />

Just trying to rule the obvious out first....<br />

it is a x64 windows 7 and it is the right driver for the model and the 64 bit os and it is a laptop I have no way I know of to put another video card in it.

Yes that is what I thought too. &nbsp; I will tell my friend his options. &nbsp; &nbsp;I was hoping I was wrong I am fixing it for a friend who moved to medico he is up visiting. &nbsp;I hope the computer survives<br />
being shipped back down there.

I am having massive issues with a acer aspire. &nbsp;I thought it was just a problem with the video driver, however I tried many things which I won't list here, finally I reformatted and reinstalled windows. &nbsp;It worked at first until I went to acer and downloaded the video driver for the machine then it instantly went to blue screen with stop error 119. &nbsp;I tried to uninstall but no good. &nbsp;I reformatted again and it worked with the generic driver. &nbsp;Does this indicate that the on board video card is bad? &nbsp;I have had something similar before with a desktop and no driver would work because the card was bad and the advanced functions the driver enabled crashed the system, could this be the case here? &nbsp;Also this system was purchased less than 6 months ago. &nbsp;
