We are in the process of building a new xenapp 5 farm to replace our old presentation 4 one. The new xenapp 5 farm has a problem when using the java 9.4 client that comes with our our external secure access appliance (Aventail) to connect to a desktop session. It connects ok and can be used but disconnects within a minute of inactivity. We still have the presentation server 4 farm and this does not have the disconnect problem when using the same java client on the appliance.<br />

If the pc connecting to the appliance is windows xp the error on disconnect is &quot;the Citrix Presentation Server is not available, please try again later&quot;<br />
If the pc connecting is windows 7 the error is &quot;The connection failed: java.io.IOException This is probably due to network problems&quot;<br />

Connecting to the Xenapp 5 farm using the full client does not have this disconnect issue either.<br />

Have followed lots of threads and support notes but have been unable to find the cause. Appreciate some help!<br />
