How do I move filemaker pro 9 advanced from one computer to another?

not sure what the migration steps are - did not find anything on their site

A bit more info is needed really.  If you're using a PC just uninstall it, if you're using a Mac, delete it from the Applications directory.  Then use your FM installation disc to install the software on another machine.  Simples.

Do you have the disk, do the install BEFORE you uninstall any files.  Your license key will allow this.  Then make copies of all your data and install that.  Verify everything works first before your remove or delete any files.

Just to be clear, you mean FileMaker PRO Advanced, not FileMaker SERVER Advanced, correct?

I know, but I asked because people often get confused about the difference and doing a migration with Server might seem less obvious and more likely to generate a question.

I have "file maker pro 9 Advanced".  the old box is still running it.

but I am setting up a NEW computer and would like to migrate my data effortlessly.

do I just install it on the new computer and move the databases?
