have date prepopulated in a text box

I need to have the date today populate in a text box but I am geting an error

Error      2      Cannot implicitly convert type 'System.DateTime' to 'string'      

Ideas?

I cant make it a method call at the end i.e. DateTime.Today();

//date
   
     TextBox9.Text = DateTime.Today;

Easy :

TextBox9.Text = DateTime.Today.ToString();

You should consider the documentation for the ToString method. There is numerous ways to format the date according to your needs.

you can specify format for toString() too
