Printing to Network Printers SLOW!!!

I am experiencing some issues with printing to our network printers. I have a PDF file, it is a 2MB file, but when I print, the progress bar will sit there for 1 minute before it starts processing, then it hits the server, so I check the printer queue on my workstation and see that the file is spooling 73.3MB of data.

The problem is it is spooling at 15-20K a second, so this print job takes about 20 minutes before the printer starts processing.

Where can I look or what can I do to find out why taking so long to spool, then how can I fix this? Would a new driver potentially fix? Is it something on the server itself?

What OS are you printing from?  I have seen issues like this with x64 workstations printing to x86 servers.

Yes, OK so if I enable snmp frm the printer proterties, it spools normally but goes offline, if I uncheck snmp, back to slow printing. So are you suggesting to disable snmp on phycial printer?
If I enable snmp on printer and enable on printer preferences, it is still slow spooling...
What printer is this? I'll take a look at the options.

Correct on the driver, I know the Auto setting your referring to, let me check now, thx!
I changed both settings and it is still slow to spool, increments of 30K or so...

Could this be an snmp issue at all, more curious than fishing for solution... I just recall that when I played with snmp earlier, I got the speed results, but it was going ofline. I went to the printer, snmp, I can't recall exactly, but (v1) I believe was set to on.
Could you try the universal driver?
I have the Konica rep coming out monday AM to assist, thx for your assistance...
