Windows Live Mail won't send without checking names

Hi,
When other programs try send email through windows live mail, windows live mail tries to check for the address in the address book and because it doesn't exist in the address book, the message can't be sent.
I would like to be able to turn this off or in some way bypass it so that mail can be sent.
I don't have this problem with outlook, but now in windows 7 I don't have outlook anymore.
Thanks
Steven

In Tools > Accounts, there may be some Contacts Directory accounts at the bottom of the list. If any of those has the option to 'check names before sending', then this will happen for all messages, and it is a waste of time unless the directory is a meaningful one. Many institutions do have such a directory that users can subscribe to. If you're not in that situation, either turn off that option for each of those accounts, or (as I have done) simply remove them.

I can't add our entire customer database to each user's address book.
Also, by the time you get the message it's too late, the message doesn't give you an option of adding it or adding anything.
I've disabled checking in the two lists that were there - and I have removed the accounts.
It still gives the error.
It really is a pain. Why can't it just send the email to the address in the “to” box?
It doesn't even save the message to drafts.

StevenHook--Everything I see suggests the Name Check cannot be disabled in Windows Live Mail.  It is "default".  For example:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-networking/need-help-with-windows-mail-i-need-help-with-one/5cf54353-b43a-4ab3-b65c-feea94eb9bfa

It can be done in Outlook http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/disable-check-names/ca969e45-d4cf-4381-8b36-7e8805887cc2  But I cannot find a similar setting in WLM.

I did find a perhaps humorous suggestion to try disabling Spell Check, but no indication whether that worked.  You could try that.  :)

Your only other choice would be to change email programs.
StevenHook--I did find one possibility, but I am not at all sure if this might answer your question.
In WML, if you click File (the unnamed icon at the top left right under the Title Bar)|Options E-mail Accounts the next window has a section "Contacts Directory".  Highlight "Active Directory" and click Properties.  The bottom of the next window has an option to "Check names...."

P.S in the WML New Message window, there is an icon "Check Names" on the ribbon, but clicking on it does nothing on my PC.

Going back to my last post, your option in WML is indeed to add all the names to your Contacts list.
StevenHook--One other possibility is to turn off AutoComplete.  Then, logically, WML has no reason to check the Contacts list.

And an idle question.  At what stage in Send Email do you get the Check Names box?  I send emails all the time to people not on my Contacts list and do not get the box.  And if I click "Send Email" (or similar) from another site, the site would have no way to know to whom I want to send the email.
In the end I exported our customer database and imported it into the address book.
It's not ideal, the invoicing lady shouldn't have access to all that information, but it seems like the only solution.
I told her if she receives the message, she has to add that address to her address book.
Thanks
Steven.
StevenHook--You are welcome.
You probably know there is a setting on the WLM Options window|Send tab to "Automatically put people I reply to into my address book after the third reply".
