Novell Linux file blocking

The cool thing about NSS on OES2-Linux is that it acts and works just like that on NetWare with one exception.  The exception is how trustees are stored.  On NetWare, the trustees and their files system rights are stored with each file and directory.  One OES2-Linux, all trustees and rights are stored in a hidden directory called ._NetWare (not sure on case-sensitivity here) in a file called trustees.xml or trusteesdb.xml.

As far as DSMETER goes, I would imagine there is a version that will work on OES2-Linux but am not sure.  If so, you should be good to go.

but it has to have an exceptions where it will not delete files from specfic novell user...

Sorry for the delay.  I don't know of a script that will check files.  If a specific user has the E (erase) trustee assignment either directly or inherited, they will be able to delete files from a particular directory and all those below where the assignment was granted.

Also, have you checked with the folks who make DSMETER to see if they offer a Linux version for OES2?

I did call visual click and they keep pushing me to use DSRazor but that's not compatible with OES.

Isn't DSMETER a free utility?  I know DSRAZOR is an expensive product...cool but expensive and as you say, not compatible with OES on Linux.
