after reloaction of sql databases to a new server my solarwinds installation is unable to connect to the databse

i can connect to the databse on the machine using the credentials and as it is a domain account i can logon to the machine with it.  but from solarwinds i keep getting an error that the app can't connect using the supplied username and password.

Make sure in SQL that the user is setup correctly.  
If it is a domain user: DOMAIN\USER
If it is a local user: MACHINE\USER

Also, to rule out permissions from one machine to another, try connecting as sa or nother strictly SQL user.
