Are there any repercussions from enabling VSS on a volume which also utilizes Distributed File System?  (i.e. loosing data, and other bad things.)   We're running Server 2003.

Thanks.

We do this here at my work with no issues.

One small thing is to ensure that you turn on VSS on the root of the DFS Filesystem, as described in this MS Article:
