Is somebody working with ADPlus? Do I have to install Debugging Tools for Windows every time on the problematic machine?

I copied this files adplus.exe, adplus_old.vbs, adplusext.dll, adplusext.dll, adplusmanager.exe, adplusmanager.exe.config to troubleshoot "hangs" and "crashes" (from Applications) but it’s not working. Will this work? If not do you have a other better Tool?

I tried Debug Diagnostic Tool v1.1 and a MS employ told us that this Tool is not supported under Windows 7.

Fairly certain that the entire kit is needed... I have installed the Debug Diagnostic on Win7, and set a rule successfully, but unfortunately the darn thing never crashed again.

Remember there is a difference between supported, and actually able to function..... I would test it if you have a problem machine, to see if it gathers data once you create the rule....

Hi johnb6767

Nice to see you again, hope you are fine? By contrast I was success and got a dump file.
So I’m testing the dump created by Debug Diagnostic.
Now I want to try the advanced commands in WinDbg and get the error No export (command name) found for !vm, !thread, !process, !process 0 0, !deadlock. Do you know why?

Is the tool actually counting the crashing instances?
What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Ok, if you are just trying to look at the dumps, you can  bring them to another machine and load them from File>Load Crash Dump. Make sure you ahve the symbols set to a Symbol Server, instead of a locally extracted package.....

Debug Diagnostic tool is mainly to monitor a running app, and automate the process of analyzing the dumps. Once you create a rule, it will 'count' the instances it has detected by the running debug service, and once you see that it has detected some instances, you can right click the rule>Analyze".....

Where does this all fit in with adplus.vbs? You are trying to use those without having the Debugging tools on each machine?
