Can we share our contacts in our version of Google Apps?

Hi All,

This seems like a pretty straight forward feature, but can't seem to get it to work right.  Is it possible within Google Apps?  We have Google Apps Standard for non-profits (free version).  We utilize the e-mail and calendar a lot but not the contacts until recently.  We are looking to setup a few groups of contacts and share them to all our users.  Is this possible in GA?  We installed The contacts service in the GA dashboard but it still doesn't seem to share any contacts except the names of other users on our GA domain.  Are we missing something here or is this not possible with all versions of GA yet?

Google Apps allows sharing of contacts through the API, but Google did not build a tool for this.  You will need a third party product.

If you want to create multiple address books and share them, with the ability to control who can edit/view, with sync to mobile devices.  You want Floreysoft.

Thanks.  Do you recommend this or using a third party service for the contacts all together?

The third party tools are best.

Some are as inexpensive as $99 per year.

Are you saying a third party tools to be used with Google OR a third party contact system all together is best?

Third party tool used with Google, that access and use the Contacts APIs.

Look at Dito Directory (paid version!)

Any idea of the cost for a Google apps domain with about 50 users?
