Change inbox folder name from inbox1 to inbox in exchange 2010 (remove the 1 behind inbox)

Due to a bad import from exchange 2003 to exchange2010 somehow all the inboxfolder names changed to inbox1.

Everything further is working ok, but I want to remove the 1 behind inbox.

We are working with exchange 2010 and have 150 userswith this problem.

You cannot rename or change the default INBOX folder (or any kind of default folder such as contacts etc) If you want the message that appear in Inbox(1) - you will need to either copy or move then from Inbox(1) to Inbox for them to be in the default folder.

Thanks but none of the above was the solution for me, finally i did the trick with the following command:

Get-mailbox | Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -dateformat "d-M-yyyy" -timezone "W. Europe Standard Time"  -timeformat "HH:mm" -Language "nl-NL" -LocalizeDefaultFolderName:$true

Grtz,
Alex

Nothing ever in the clear!

This technical paper will help you implement VMware’s VM encryption as well as implement Veeam encryption which together will achieve the nothing ever in the clear goal. If a bad guy steals VMs, backups or traffic they get nothing.
