How to use DBDesigner 4?

Hi,

I have an existing mysql database and i want to have a diagram blueprint so it's easy to understand the database structure for anyone  who has a quick look.

How can i achieve this through DBDesginer version 4  ?

Why not get mysql's native workbench and create a diagram of the database based on the existing database by connecting?

Have not used DBDesigner in a while so I do not remember on whether the same options outlined above for workbench exist/ed for dbdesigner. I.e. instead of creating the mysql DB structure from scratch whether there was an option to connect to mysql DB and load the data from there?

you could use show create database <database>
and repeat for each table.
Export the database structure/layout and import it.

Workbench not compatible with old OS so unable to install... anyhow i found a very handy  solution that doesn't even need installation :) Thanks for trying.

Assisted answer: 250 points for arnold's comment http:/Q_27290084.html#36479480

for the following reason:

I knew about Workbench, however since it wasn't compatible with my old OS, i asked about DBDesigner vr. 4.x which is compatible.
