can you explain a little what you mean by gateway and associated phone number?

I'll explain better, I have a phone number for example 3387766543
I would like to know which is owned by Italian mobile operator (TIM, VODAFONE, WIND or THREE), obviously I need to know precisely via the web and I thought a webservice that provides this service
You do know you are in the iOs zone which deals with the software used for the iPHone etc?

Maybe you should get this question moved.

In any case a quick google by me leads me to thinking that there is no such service.  Further if there was it would be not public, as people can take their phone number with them when they change suppliers which would mean the only real data base that knows which numbers below to whom is the database of the telephone company that it belongs to.  I doubt they would be supplying this information then to a public or paid for that matter API.

thanks for the reply, I was hoping there was something to help me, since using a code to put before the telephone number you can get this information, this is only possible by phone and via web

Your question is about this "gateway" as you call it, and I have answered that. I believe this is the answer to your question and until now  other experts have not challenged it.

You may not like the answer and the answer might not solve the problem you have at Hand but you have your question answered.

I know that I have answered, but your answer has not satisfied my question, however I can assure you that after some research I found a provider who offers this service, a fee of course. Thanks for everything, the next
Then post a Link to them advertising their API so that we can all learn.

In the absence of a response from the questioner with his API, then my answers stands.  I don't believe there is such a public API.

il servizio si chiama Network Lookup  o HlrLookup e ovviamente è a pagamento, basta fare una ricerca su google, sono in tanti ad offrire questo servizio

Sorry for the language,

the service is called the Network Lookup or HlrLookup and obviously is not free, just do a google search, too many people to offer this service
