IE works fine until I installed Avast and now IE can't get to any websites. If I turn Avast off, I can go to web pages. With Avast on, IE can't go anywhere.  I tried installing Firefox and get same result. Avast is somehow keeping me from getting to sites.  I had this same issue on the last computer I set up with Win7.  When I installed Firefox, it fixed that  one and no more issues. But I can't seem to get past this issue with this new install.

When I upgraded to Avast 6, I turned off all of the "Additional Protection" features like the Webrep and the Sandbox.  Just babysitting features.
