CRM redeployment issues

Hi all,

apologies for posting a new question, I just desperately need to get this issue resolved as fast as possible.

Please see my dilemma below and also in my other pos "CRM 4.0t deployment error for additonal info.

Hopefully some expert advise will get me out of this mess.

I have previously tried uninstalling the CRM manually following the steps outlined in the knowledge base article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946980. and I have already removed HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{BC8DD950-8100-42F4-9EA9-26FCD41690AF}  

I am in the process of trying to reinstall the existing version of CRM dynamics Workgroup edition and I am hoping I will be then able to upgrade to the enterprise edition by changing the product key. However when attempting to install the CRM dynamics Workgroup the only way I can progress through the prompts select not to check for updates and I am connecting to an exisiting deployment and I have restored the existing databases.

If I try to create a new deployment then the installtion fails as SSRS fails to connect to http://servername/reportserver, but if connecting to the exiting deployment all system go through fine with only 2 warnings and when I proceed to install it fails advising me to "go to control panel, add remove programs and remove CRM dynamics". I have checked the regisitry and there are a bunch of MSCRM registry key in there however as mentioned the registry key under the "uninstall" has been removed.

If I attempt to install the enterprise edition I receive error messages as mentioned above in this thread.

I desperately need to resolve this and need to get CRM installed to save myself, (in hindsight i wish i had known about the product key being embedded first). I am normally so cautious with this sort of stuff but I have definitely made a mess this time.

Formatting the server and starting again is not an option as this particular it is also running the mail server, domain controller and IIS so I desperately, desperately need to find a solution to this issue and get CRM installed and I seeking the help of all professionals at Expert Exchange community to pass on any advise please that could assist and hoping you guys can help get me out of this disaster.

This issue has been resolved, I decided to reinstall CRM over a clean instal of Windows server 2008.
