A 500 http status code is a server side application error.

The error details are found by default in c:\inetpub\temp\php-errors.log as described above but the location is the error_log= parameter in the php config. That is if it is coming from php.

Enable failed request tracing in IIS7 for more info too:

Create a "Web.Config" file in your website's directory with the following contents:

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
        <compilation debug="true"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Open in new window

If that still fails, in your PHP file, add the following lines:

ini_set('display_errors', 1);
error_reporting(-1);

Open in new window
