combine several Word documents into one

My client has 30 TO 40 Microsoft Word documents, and wants to combine them all into one document. Is there an easy way to do this?

Open the one that you want to be the first in the final document.

Then position the cursor at the end of the document. From the Insert tab, Text group, Object button, choose 'Text from file...' and browse to the second document file.

Do this for all the candidate documents.
