Cross Browser Testing Application
Hello,
We have recently completed a web application which should have been compatible with the majority of modern browsers - I would like to check this and sign off with the client that it renders in the browsers properly and basic functionality works.
There I am looking for an application that can complete browser testing on the main browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari - as well as one or two steps back from the current versions) as well as mobile browsers that you find on the iphone or Ipad.
Ideally I would like an application that can be installed locally rather than a web based one just for simplicity and speed mainly (however any suggestions to a good web based one would be greatly received). I would like an application that can do two things.
- Take a snapshot of the live page and;
- allow for live testing within the browser window
I- ts is a free or community piece of software (ideally).
I have tried http://browsershots.org -but the processing time is long and you cannot complete live testing.
I have also tried Adobe BrowserLab however this was a little slow and appeared to fail a lot.
Many thanks,
GIVSPN

http://crossbrowsertesting.com was the best option for this requirement

I dont think it would do what is required however. It appears to allow you to automated testing within a browser you have installed on your computer. I am not sure it will allow you to test all the current browsers, output screenshots or do live testing unless the browser is installed and you run this product within it?
Have you used this before?
