Text over a img in a div with an associated animation in JS JQuery

I have a div with an associated animation. Clicks on the img triggers the animation. I put a text description in a nested div, over the img. The problem is that now clicking on the text the animation dont work anymore.

So, the image is inside the parent div and is a sibling to the nested div. And you have given the click event to image, which triggers the animation to parent div. And you want the animation to be triggered when you click on its sibling div also???

<div id="parentDiv"> \\on which you have associated animation
  <img src/> \\on click triggers animation
  <div id="nestedSiblingDiv">SomeText</div>
<div>

Is that correct?

You just have to associate animation to click of parent div rather than image
