Try turning off DEP inside of Internet Explorer and see if that helps.  Click on Tools, Internet Options, then the Advanced tab.  Scroll down to Security and uncheck "Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks".

If i'll assume that it used to work for you, best test would be to Reset your IE settings.
Under advanced tab click the Reset (enter from control panel) > check if it works.

Also, i belive that after you disable the DEP on the IE8 it will require you to reboot the machine.
