iPhone 4 Custom Alerts

I have an iPhone 4G from Verizon Wireless. It is not cracked.

I used to use a blackberry.....on the blackberry i was able to configure a unique sound when email arrives from a specific sender.  This sound was different then the sounds heard when every other message is received.  

Is there any way to set custom alerts sounds by email sender?

iPhone 4 user here: The answer is no, it's not possible. You can do it on a jail broken iPhone but not on uncracked ones because all the files such as "new-mail.caf" are stored on the phone and obviously you cannot replace it unless you jailbreak it and then ssh into it.
