Nokia 5530 not connecting with Virgin SIM

Hi,

I have a Nokia 5530 and its not connecting with Virgin SIM in Calgary, Canada.

This phone is working well with other company SIM but not working with Virgin SIM card. I was thinking that this SIM is faulty but the same SIM is working my Nokia E72 perfect.

Anybody help in that?

Is it possible that the 5530 is locked to a specific carrier?

no. Its not at all.

Might be worth calling Virgin and having them check if they are blocking the IMEI.

They do have a self-serve IMEI check option here, however not sure what it will actually tell you.
simply I changed the mobile set
