Hello, my friend wants to create an asp.net website. It should like www.yahoo.com, or www.msn.com,
or www.cnn.com etc.
Shortly speaking, a lot of news links on the front page and new information will be kept updated daily.
The only difference is that the portion of updated links only have a few percentage.

Thanks for your advice.

Hi zhshqzyc,
Yahoo and MSN is more to catalogue directories listing and CNN  supplying latest breaking news.
What are the main purpose of creating that web site?
You have to find out what services you want to offer to internet user first become design the way how it structure in web site.

It is a religion organization's web site. They used to publish mangizines quarterly. But they found in nowadays younger person don't like reading hard copy, they prefer read articles online. Therefore my friends want to publish the archives online then updated the latest documents regularly.

Originally they only have a few big icons on the home page, by clicking them go to the next level. The reader have to click several times, eventually find the article in the deepest level.

They want to change the tactics, put the document titles on the home page. Just click one then can read the article.

You may consider mobile-application. The navigation of the news stream should be easy with few easy clicks to allow user get what they want to read.
