i would like to know more about

JSF EL.

I was reading as

The #{…} delimiter denotes deferred evaluation. With deferred evaluation ,the application server retains the expression and evaluates it whenever a value is needed.

How JSF EL is different fro say JSP expresssion language. when,where, why we use it, adavantages, disadvanges of it. I am not clear on this concept. thanks in advance
