ICal invitiation randomly enters characters?
When iCal is open, i can add a new entry fine, but then when i go to add invites to that entry, no matter what letters i type in, it randomly changes.
E.g If i try typing Hillary, the H sometimes goes in then when i get to the I, the word will change to BO or EX, and randomly changes each time, with no pattern what so ever.
this problem has been here since i have owned the laptop and last resort would be to reinstall Snow Leopard, but surely there should be an easier way?

I have downloaded the software but this didnt resolve the issue.
Then created a new account and added some new contacts to the address book. when i tested this in iCal this worked without any issues.
I am going to try and import the original Address book into the new test account to see if this recreates the problem. if so, i will then need to find a way of repairing or recreating my address book.

Did you delete your caches and repair permissions? Is there an OS X Server in your environment?
ASKER
Yes the caches were deleted and the permissions were repaired - there is a OSX server (10.5) in the enviroment however the iCal links to Kerio on a PC server and not the OSX server
Thanks

If the problem persists, try setting up a fresh user account on your mac (in system preferences-accounts) and see if iCal does the same thing in the new account.
Finally, is there an OS X Server in your environment?
